New idea The idea of an English Summer School
was first suggested by the parent of one of Tom’s students. She
commented that an immersion course although possible abroad in English
mother tongue countries, such a course was not available in Saarland, this
got Tom thinking. He wanted to work closer to home (he was previously
teaching in Luxembourg) and he had been told that his local market was
being poorly served. The solution seemed obvious, to create his own
language school.
Objective The purpose of the one week
courses is to give students the opportunity to interact in a relaxed
atmosphere and put their English to use in realistic and interesting
situations. A maximum of only five students will attend the course;this
enables each student to have the chance to really engage and interact.
The course will run from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday (twenty, 60 minute
teaching hours).
Correct course allocation The key to
any successful group course is the feeling that your level in English
is comparable to the other members of the group. To achieve similar
level groups every student will need to attend a short getting to know
you session at Obere Schulstr. 29 before being accepted on to the
course.
What is included All
students will be provided with a course book, which is valued at least
twenty euros or more as well as any additional material. During the
course snacks and refreshments will be provided.
